# Changing a Lesson's Location

Did a course move to a new location mid-semester? Make the change in ActiveNow so your participants can see it too.

## How to change the location

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Find the class in the ***Calendar*** on the date when the location change takes effect, then click on it and open ***Lesson details***.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
To edit the location for a specific date, click the pencil icon in the **Venue** field.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
The system will ask whether the change applies to: a **single lesson**, the **entire course**, or all **future lessons from the selected date**.

Choose the option that fits your needs.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Once confirmed, the location is updated in the affected lessons.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

The new location also appears in the **Course details**. Participants will see the updated location in their **Client Panel**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.activenow.io/en/course-management/changing-course-location.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
